there are no mistakes

2022_sketches is the name of a folder that I put things in and then tended to forget about them

but I think these bits of sounds are quite nice, and I hope you agree, there are some things in the folder that I've not included

each track title is the name of the file followed by the date and time it was last saved

the album art was also in this folder, originally I posted the image on instagram for no particular reason, it was last saved - 5 Jul 2022, 00:21

some tracks have memories attached to them

tracks 2, 3 and 4 were all made while I was staying at my friend's place and he was out, I was using his electric piano and making some lunch

the ambient improv piece(s) were made at home in West Yorkshire, I improvised using my computer keyboard into Logic, then I isolated the voices of the chords and hummed along to create the choir version

further noise was created using MaxMSP mostly, on a train I think

sisters and primordial soup were both paired with videos and I posted them on instagram, sometimes I have a very strong urge to make something that comes from a place of a kind of boredom or lacking fulfilment, usually if I'm feeling a bit down and usually late at night

tracks 14, 15, and 16 were also created together using orchestral samples and messing with them in MaxMSP

deejay was made when I was subletting a place and my flatmate happened to have a pair of CDJs that I was messing with, I improvised with the effects and then improvised again while listening to the first improvisation, the two recordings are superimposed and hard panned
